Experience : | I have two years of experience tutoring children (5-6 years old) and teenagers (13-14 years old) in small groups (3-4 students in each group) while I was studying in the United Kingdom. As some of these tutees were diagnosed with dyslexia and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), I have honed my skills in adapting my teaching plans flexibly to suit each tutee's learning progress, using creative methods to keep them engaged, as well as teaching in a patient manner. As a psychology graduate, I am also well-versed in effective learning and teaching methods. Two of my tutees improved their Mathematics results by two grades (from D to B) by the end of my tutoring term while some others have also improved by one grade. For my English tutees as well, most of them improved their overall grade. For six years, I completed my A level, bachelor and master degrees in the United Kingdom. I achieved a scholarship award for my A level studies, waiving half of my tuition and accommodation fees. Later on, I completed my undergraduate and postgraduate studies at University College London (UCL), one of the world's top ten best universities. Even before entering UCL, I achieved an overall score of 8.5 in IELTS (scoring full marks in reading and listening). I am both confident and excited to impart my knowledge to my future students. |
