As a geophysicist of 10 years, I analyse earth subsurface using mathematics, physics and earth science term. I may not have a proper/formal education certificate/training but I have been teaching unofficially for more than 15 years. Soon as I finished high school, I worked at a kindergarten/nursery belongs to my aunt. Over the time, I also enjoyed helping my younger sibling and cousin with their study and homework. As I venture into my university days, I continue teaching by becoming part time home tutor.  One of the most meaningful experience I gained was helping a 10 years old Indian boy with his Bahasa Malaysia subject. The progress he achieved by the end of the year gave huge satisfaction to me.

As a senior geophysicist, one of my job scope is to mentor, nurture and guide junior staff. I was also responsible to coach and monitor internship students assigned to my team. These responsibility has helped me sharpen my teaching skill indirectly. I choose English, mathematics and science as my preffered subject to teach as these has been my core and background. English is the main medium spoken and written at the office as many of my colleagues are foreigner. 

My method in teaching mathematic revolve around breaking sentence into points and simple form of information. Always read the instruction/problem given at least twice in order to extract information and instruction. As for science, it is a subject with combination of reading, understanding and implementing logic. So it is important to ensure the student understand the concept rather than just memorizing facts

Last but not least, being a private tutor will not only become a source of income to me, it's a passion and long term goal i have always wish to fulfil. I am looking forward to serve your organization and the society in general. Thank you
