| Experience : | I have past experience of tutoring students in the subjects of English and Mathematics. These teaching assignments are done mostly online, at my home or at the homes of the students. I own a Pearson Test of English certificate, with an average score of 87/90 and I have just completed online tuition via Zoom with four Chinese national students to prepare them for the PTE exam. I am confident they will achieve the mark they desire to achieve. I am also at the moment teaching basic English to two Chinese national students who have seen a huge improvement under my guidance. Some more examples of standout experiences included a student who aced her Additional Mathematics paper and a Japanese student who passed his entrance English examiniation to gain entry into a Malaysian institution of higher learning. Up till now the Japanese student, who is still living in Malaysia, has been able to secure employment here. I usually use very basic "everyday-life" illustrations to help students grasp mathematical concepts, and I also utilise music, songs and word games to generate a higher level of interest and creative spirit when teaching language to my students. I have been an active public speaker and trainer in the course of my career. Subjects that I spoke about are usually related to finance, insurance and investments. I have hold a Grade 5 ABRSM certificate in guitar and was pursuing my Grade 8 certificate when I stopped to further my studies in the UK. I am a native English and Malay speaker, and also speak Cantonese and Mandarin fluently. |
