Experience :	I have home tutored children (non-native speakers) aged four to six and taught them Mandarin Chinese, and was responsible for planning and designing weekly lessons and activities that enhance their learning experience. Significant improvements were witnessed in the students' confidence and ability to utilise the language for daily communication purposes and these improvements were also reflected in the students' school test results. I also had volunteering experience at orphanages and tuition centres for less fortunate children as an English tutor. Improvements were reflected in the children's confidence and understanding of the language. The children also witnessed improvements in their vocabulary bank. I have been awarded as the best scorer for IGCSE Mandarin among candidates from the same school, and have also been awarded the Jeffery Cheah Entrance Scholarship. My experience as a student who has gone through both the IGCSE and WACE syllabus and achieving excellent results in both qualifications further qualifies me in tutoring students who are currently pursuing these syllabi and qualifications as well.
